Beginning in fall 2019, Boise State University will honor the federal government’s Tuition Assistance rate of $250 per credit hour for active-duty service members who are both participating in select online undergraduate degree programs and using Tuition Assistance. This program applies only to select online undergraduate degree programs. These are:

  • Applied Science

  • Multidisciplinary Studies
  • Public Health
  • Public Relations
  • Eligible students enrolled in the Online Degree Pathway are also eligible for this program. More information on each degree option can be found here:

    Return of Funds
Determining eligibility for TA is class specific. The start and end date will be used for each class to determine eligibility. Using the formula below, Boise State University will be required to return some or all of the TA awarded to you– if you did not complete at least 60% of each course– back to the military; possibly creating a balance on your Boise State University student account.
Number of days completed / Total days of the course (start to end date) = percent earned
Once you have received your approved TA request, send a copy of the document to the Military Programs Coordinator at

Our Military Programs office works with campus partners to provide Active Duty, Guard and Reserve members access to the resources they need–whenever and wherever they need them. We connect with military students on the Boise State campus, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Gowen Field and online when their busy lives take them outside of Idaho. More information can be found here:
